Airbus reported second-quarter adjusted EBIT of €1.91 billion, topping consensus. The planemaker still expects 870 aircraft deliveries this year and confirmed its full-year EBIT target of €7.5 billion.

Airbus posted second-quarter adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of €1.91 billion, surpassing the €1.74 billion consensus forecast. The beat was driven by strong operational performance.

The company reiterated its plan to hand over approximately 870 commercial aircraft this year, a figure just shy of the 871-unit analyst estimate. For the full year, management confirmed its adjusted EBIT guidance of €7.5 billion, consistent with its earlier forecast but slightly below the €7.6 billion average estimate.

Deliveries and cost control remain in focus as Airbus ramps up production across its A320 family.

The results underline resilient demand in commercial aviation, though supply-chain bottlenecks continue to be monitored.
