US100: Wait for the Close

Cup and handle on the daily, but I need a clean close above the old high before I touch it. No interest in guessing breakouts.

US100 has this textbook cup and handle pattern on the daily. Neckline is the current all-time high. Everyone is watching it, which makes me cautious.

I need to see a daily candle close above that level before I even think about buying. If it happens, I'll get long for a continuation higher. If it fails, we get a fakeout and I stay out.

No reason to front-run a pattern that's been spotted by every retail trader on the planet.

Smart to wait for confirmation on the daily close 📈. That old high acts as resistance until price proves it can hold above—prevents getting faked out by intraday noise.

Patience is a trader's superpower, but isn't the cup handle already suggesting momentum? 🤔 A close above the high feels safe, yet by then the best entry might be gone.

Levels are clear: 17,650 is the line in the sand. A close above confirms the handle, but a false breakout there could trap bulls. Patience pays.

Patience is the edge here. If we close above 15,800 with volume, the risk/reward justifies entry. A false breakout costs you 40 points; missing the move costs you nothing.

Smart. Cup and handle needs volume confirmation too — if that close comes with a spike above 18,200, I'm in. Otherwise it's just noise. 🚀
