White House Crypto Summit: US Eyes Bitcoin Buys, HYPE Jumps

President Trump said the US is considering sizable Bitcoin and crypto purchases, while Hyperliquid's HYPE rallied 15% to $69 after CFTC-related remarks.

At the White House Crypto Summit, President Trump said the United States is considering buying "sizable" amounts of Bitcoin and other crypto assets. He also called on Congress to pass the Crypto Clarity Act and said the US is ensuring it remains the "undisputed leader" in Bitcoin and crypto.

Hyperliquid's HYPE jumped 15% to $69 after Trump said the CFTC is working to bring it to the US. SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the US will ensure the greatest advances of the technological frontier are realized in America, while Gemini co-founders said America should lead in crypto and win in the market.

Trump added that he has "ended the war on crypto once and for all."
