Trump Announces Heidi Overton to Work With Kennedy, Oz on Drug Price and Trial Reforms
Trump highlighted Dr. Heidi Overton's medical and public-health background and said she will work with Secretary Kennedy and Dr. Oz on faster cures, clinical trial reforms, and lower drug prices.
On Truth Social, President Donald Trump said Dr. Heidi Overton will work with Secretary Kennedy and Dr. Oz to deliver health policy priorities. Overton was a White House Fellow during Trump’s first term and is a board-certified physician in public health and general preventive medicine.
Trump listed goals including faster cures, increased American innovation, major clinical trial reforms, lower drug prices, and additional “MAHA wins.” He said Overton will continue putting America first and creating a healthy America.
Trump also noted her Ph.D. in clinical investigations from Johns Hopkins University and congratulated her on the role.
