PBOC Sets Dollar-Yuan Reference Rate at 6.7873

The People's Bank of China fixed the USD/CNY central rate at 6.7873 on Monday, slightly lower than Friday's fix of 6.7878.

USDCNY

The People's Bank of China set the USD/CNY reference rate at 6.7873 for the upcoming trading session. That compares with Friday's fix of 6.7878.

The slightly lower fixing indicates a marginally stronger yuan versus the dollar. Reuters had reportedly estimated a level of 6.7382.

The adjustment is modest, suggesting the central bank kept the daily reference rate broadly stable.
