NZD/USD Jumps as Falling US Yields Weigh on Dollar

The New Zealand dollar rose sharply on Wednesday, trading near 0.5930 and up 0.96% on the day as weaker US Treasury yields pressured the US dollar.

The New Zealand dollar advanced sharply against the US dollar on Wednesday, with NZD/USD changing hands around 0.5930 at the time of writing. That marked a gain of 0.96% on the day.

The move was driven mainly by broad weakness in the US dollar rather than a New Zealand-specific catalyst. A sharp decline in US Treasury yields reduced the appeal of the greenback, supporting the kiwi.
