USD/MXN dropped to 16.95 after the peso reached a two-year high of 16.94, as falling US yields and a larger Treasury buyback weakened the dollar.

The Mexican peso strengthened to a two-year high of 16.94 against the US dollar, with USD/MXN trading at 16.95 and down on the day.

The US dollar weakened as US yields retreated. The decline in yields followed the US Treasury doubling the size of its long-duration bond buyback.
