GBP/USD fails to hold three-month high above 1.3550

GBP/USD briefly cleared 1.3550 on Monday for the first time in three months before reversing and ending with a net gain of less than 10 pips.

GBP/USD traded above 1.3550 on Monday, marking its first move through that level in three months. The pair printed the highest point of the session just above the level, but the advance did not hold.

Within hours, the entire gain was erased. Sterling ended the day with a net increase of less than 10 pips, suggesting the push higher lacked follow-through from the pound itself.
