Equiti Moves from Sleeve to Front-of-Shirt in Al Wahda Sponsorship
Equiti Group has upgraded its Al Wahda FC sponsorship for 2026/27, moving branding from sleeve to front-of-shirt and adding exclusive training kit visibility.
Equiti Group has upgraded its sponsorship of Abu Dhabi football club Al Wahda FC for the 2026/27 season, with its branding moving to the front of the club's home, away and goalkeeper shirts. The expanded agreement builds on an initial sleeve sponsorship signed in 2024 and extends the broker's sports marketing push in the UAE.
The front-of-shirt placement will be shared with Abu Dhabi real estate developer Lead Development, according to the announcement. Equiti first partnered with Al Wahda in 2024 and last year added a naming-rights deal for Dubai's Youth Football League.
The renewal follows Al Wahda's fourth ADIB Cup title in the 2025/26 campaign. The club reported 70.1 million viewers across 760 hours of television coverage during the season, along with 194.5 million in cumulative social media reach.
The sponsorship covers Al Wahda's participation in the ADNOC Pro League, UAE President's Cup, ADIB Cup, QAT–UAE Challenge Cup and Pro League U23 competition. Equiti's brand will also appear on pitch-side LED boards, stadium signage and the club's digital and retail channels. The broker will be the exclusive branding partner on Al Wahda's training kits for the first team and academy sides.
Equiti Group Chief Marketing Officer Chantelle Johnson said the enlarged role reflects the company's commitment to Abu Dhabi. "This is a club with real history in Abu Dhabi. Expanding our role here is about showing up for that community," Johnson said.
The two organisations will also bring back the Equiti Challenge corporate tournament for a third edition. This year's second edition, held in February 2026, drew eight institutional teams, including squads from Abu Dhabi Police, the Judicial Department and the Ministry of Justice.
Al Wahda Chairman of the Board of Directors Fares Maktoum Al Mazrouei described the expanded tie-up as "an extension of a long and fruitful relationship." The deal extends Equiti's sports marketing footprint in the UAE as the broker continues to build regional brand awareness.
