USDJPY

The dollar is trading near 159.50 against the yen on Tuesday after reaching a session high just below 160.00. That is the strongest level for the pair since Tokyo and Washington last intervened together.

The Japanese yen has given back half of the recovery from that record intervention, according to the report, leaving USDJPY near the upper end of its recent range.

No new catalysts were mentioned in the update, with the move reflecting continued dollar strength against the yen.
