Canada Headline CPI Accelerates to 3% YoY in July
Canada's headline consumer inflation accelerated to 3% year-over-year in July, beating expectations and up from 2.8% in June.

Canada's headline consumer price index rose 3.0% year-over-year in July, accelerating from the 2.8% annual increase recorded in June. The reading came in above market expectations.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices also increased.
The pickup indicates renewed acceleration in Canadian inflation. The stronger-than-expected print may influence Bank of Canada policy expectations and the Canadian dollar.
