Bank Indonesia Hikes Benchmark Rate by 25 bps to 5.75%

Bank Indonesia raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 5.75% on June 18, aligning with market expectations.

USDIDR

Bank Indonesia (BI) announced a 25-basis-point hike in its benchmark interest rate to 5.75% on June 18. The previous rate stood at 5.5%.

The decision was in line with market expectations. The central bank continues to focus on managing inflation and supporting the rupiah.
