Australian Dollar Climbs to Two-Month High as US Dollar Softens

AUD/USD reached fresh ten-week highs near 0.7100, up 0.40% on the day, driven mainly by broad US dollar weakness.

AUD/USD extended its recovery on Monday, trading up 0.40% and holding near the 0.7100 area after reaching the strongest level in roughly ten weeks.

The move was attributed almost entirely to broad softness in the US dollar rather than positive Australian-specific catalysts, leaving the pair’s direction closely tied to USD sentiment.
