U.S. Energy Secretary Wright said oil flows from the Middle East have not fully returned to normal. He added that U.S. military efforts are currently helping move about 8 to 9 million barrels of oil per day through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Wright, the U.S. will keep improving its ability to escort Hormuz traffic, underscoring the strategic importance of the waterway for global crude supply.
