Weekend market update: indices mostly flat, gold up, oil down

Global equity indices were little changed in weekend trade. The DAX slipped 0.04% to 26,437, the DOW fell 0.02% to 53,680, the NASDAQ edged up 0.01% to 30,054, the FTSE declined 0.02% to 10,753, and the Hang Seng was down 0.02% at 25,230.

FX and commodities were mixed: EURUSD was down 0.01% at 11,570, gold rose 0.14% to 4,383, silver slipped 0.02% to 6,470, and US oil fell 0.44% to 8,129.
