US Stocks Open Higher: Nasdaq Jumps 0.9%, S&P 500 and Dow Also Gain

US equity markets started the session on a positive note. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite led gains, surging 231.33 points, or 0.92%, to 25,353.51. The S&P 500 rose 39.96 points, or 0.54%, to 7,477.59, while the blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average added 225.88 points, or 0.43%, to 52,433.94.
