Tyson Foods Reports Mixed Q3: EPS Beat but Sales Miss, FY Guidance Affirmed

Tyson Foods posted adjusted EPS of 99 cents in Q3, beating estimates, while revenue of $13.87 billion fell short of forecasts. The company affirmed its full-year sales growth and capex outlook.

Tyson Foods reported fiscal third-quarter results with adjusted earnings per share of 99 cents, topping the consensus estimate of 97 cents. GAAP EPS was 52 cents. Net sales reached $13.87 billion, missing the analyst forecast of $14.1 billion.

The company reaffirmed its full-year sales growth guidance of 2.5% to 3.5%. Capital expenditure expectations were narrowed to $700–900 million, from the prior range of $700 million–$1 billion.

Net interest expenses for the fiscal year are still seen around $365 million. The mixed report reflects ongoing demand and cost pressures in the protein sector.
