Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Pre-Orders Surge 30%, Set to Break Company Records

Samsung Electronics reports that pre-orders for its new Galaxy Z Fold 8 series are outpacing last year's models by 30%, with the passport-shaped Fold 8 variant accounting for nearly half of all orders.

Samsung Electronics announced that its latest foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 – are on track to break the pre-order records of all previous Z-series devices.

Compared to the same period last year, pre-orders for the Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra have jumped by 30%. The company highlighted the unique passport-shaped design of the Fold 8, which alone represents close to half of all pre-orders placed so far.

The strong early demand suggests a positive reception for the new form factor and could bolster Samsung's mobile division performance in the coming quarter.
