Retail Flows Surge Into Gold Miners ETF GDX
The gold miners ETF GDX took in $9 million of retail money on Wednesday, its sixth inflow in seven sessions, with month-to-date inflows at $419 million.
Retail investors continued to favor gold-mining equities, with the GDX ETF attracting $9 million in net inflows on Wednesday. That marked the fund’s sixth daily inflow over the last seven trading sessions.
The recent streak includes $17 million on Monday and $25 million on Friday, which was the largest single-day intake in at least a year. For context, the previous biggest daily inflow in 2026 was $23 million in February.
So far this month, GDX has pulled in $419 million, putting it on pace for its largest monthly inflow since February. The pickup suggests retail demand for gold miners is strengthening.
