Qualcomm CFO Sees Non-Handset Revenue Surpassing 50% of QCT by 2027
Qualcomm’s CFO projects non-handset revenue will exceed half of QCT segment sales in fiscal 2027 and reach about two-thirds by 2029, with growth accelerating dramatically next fiscal year.
During a conference call, Qualcomm’s chief financial officer laid out updated long-term targets for the company’s chip business (QCT).
Non-handset revenue is now expected to represent more than 50% of QCT revenue in fiscal 2027, climbing to roughly two-thirds by fiscal 2029. The growth rate for this segment is forecast to jump from 24% in fiscal 2026 to over 60% in fiscal 2027.
The outlook underscores Qualcomm’s push to diversify beyond smartphones into areas like automotive and IoT, which are becoming a larger slice of its semiconductor sales.
