North Korea said it will continue to expand its nuclear deterrent and signaled it is ready to respond to what it called a new level of threat with a new level of deterrent, according to KCNA.
The state media report added that a new US nuclear policy could be applied first in the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang framed the US posture as a direct challenge, though it did not specify concrete military steps.
