Global equity funds extend inflows to 12 weeks, led by Europe

Global equity funds attracted $18.62 billion in the week to August 12, extending their inflow streak to 12 weeks, while technology equity funds saw outflows.

Global equity funds took in $18.62 billion during the week ending August 12, marking the twelfth consecutive weekly inflow, according to data cited by The Kobeissi Letter.

Europe led regional flows with $13.52 billion, followed by Asia at $4.13 billion and the United States at $2.58 billion. That compares with $21.15 billion the prior week and $27.21 billion two weeks earlier. Over the current 12-week streak, equity funds have accumulated $237.57 billion in inflows.

In contrast, global technology equity funds recorded $1.7 billion of outflows, ending a six-week run of inflows. The shift suggests investors are rotating away from tech and diversifying into other equity segments.
