Dow Jones Futures Dip on US-Iran Tensions, Rate Hike Jitters
Dow Jones futures edged lower during European trade, pressured by rising US-Iran tensions and renewed rate hike worries, while S&P 500 futures held steady and Nasdaq 100 futures inched higher.
Dow Jones futures declined 0.11% to trade near 54,000 on Tuesday, according to European hours data. The move comes as geopolitical friction between the US and Iran and fears of further monetary tightening sapped risk appetite.
S&P 500 futures remained little changed around 7,770, while Nasdaq 100 futures added 0.12%, indicating a mixed tone across the major U.S. equity benchmarks.
Market participants are monitoring developments in the Middle East and signals from the Federal Reserve, which have combined to cap upside momentum in the near term.
