Braskem Q2 Resin Sales in Brazil Drop 8% Year-on-Year
Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem reported an 8% year-on-year decline in resin sales volume in Brazil for the second quarter, with plant utilization at 70% and main petrochemical products down 5%, according to a filing.

Braskem’s Brazilian operations saw lower volumes in the second quarter. Resin sales volume fell 8% compared to the same period a year earlier. The average utilization rate at its domestic petrochemical plants stood at 70%. Sales volume of the company’s main petrochemical products in Brazil also declined, by 5%, the filing showed.
