Every position starts at the order ticket: pick a type, set your size, and add a stop and target if you want them.

Order types
Market
Fills immediately at the best available price. Guarantees execution, not price — best when getting in matters more than a tick.
Limit
Fills only at your price or better. Guarantees price, not execution — it may never fill. Best for patient entries and exits.
Stop
Becomes a market order once your trigger price trades — for cutting losses or chasing breakouts. In fast markets it can fill past the trigger.
Size, leverage and brackets
- Stop loss / Take profit — attach an exit on each side as you place the order, so the trade manages itself.
- Leverage — pick from 10× up to 200×; more leverage ties up less margin but raises the risk per tick.
- Size from equity — enter a percentage of your account and the ticket works out the position size for you.
