Yellow Card Can Now Offer Regulated Virtual Asset Services from Switzerland

Yellow Card has obtained AML affiliation as a supervised financial intermediary in Switzerland, allowing its Swiss subsidiary to offer regulated stablecoin infrastructure to institutional and corporate clients.

Yellow Card, a global stablecoin infrastructure and payments provider, has secured regulatory AML affiliation in Switzerland as a supervised financial intermediary. The move establishes a base for Swiss and other banking partners, as well as institutional and corporate clients seeking to move capital into high-growth emerging markets efficiently and compliantly using stablecoins.

Through its wholly-owned Swiss subsidiary, Yellow Card can now serve institutional and corporate clients with a single, supervised point of contact, leveraging the group’s established compliance and technology stack across its operating markets in the U.S., Africa, Latin America, and other emerging economies.

CEO and Co-Founder Chris Maurice said that stablecoins have become critical infrastructure for global institutions and that compliant access to these rails is essential. He noted that the Swiss subsidiary provides a regulated counterparty for accessing Yellow Card’s global stablecoin infrastructure, built on the network the company already operates at scale.

Switzerland is the latest addition to Yellow Card’s expanding regulatory portfolio, which already includes the first VASP license ever issued in Africa. The company continues to pursue additional licenses and authorizations as it broadens its global regulatory footprint.

Craig Stoehr, General Counsel of Yellow Card, emphasized that for banking partners and international clients, the compliance framework is a foundation, not a formality. He stated that Switzerland holds financial intermediaries to some of the highest standards globally, and the subsidiary was built to meet those standards. Combined with licensed infrastructure elsewhere, this provides clients regulatory confidence and operational reach.

The Swiss subsidiary will be led by Olpha Bribech, a French lawyer and member of Yellow Card’s senior management team. The company is establishing a permanent office in Lugano, Canton of Ticino, a city recognized as a hub for blockchain and digital assets. Yellow Card plans to contribute to the local blockchain community over time.
