WEEX Futures Debuts POLY USDT Perpetual Contract

WEEX has listed the POLYMARKET (POLY) USDT perpetual contract, its first futures offering for the prediction market token. Trading began April 14, 2026.

Cryptocurrency exchange WEEX has introduced a USDT-margined perpetual contract for Polymarket (POLY), marking the first time the token has been listed as a futures product on the platform. Trading went live on April 14, 2026 at 14:00 UTC.

Polymarket is described as the world's largest decentralized prediction market, relying on blockchain technology to allow users to bet on real-world events in categories such as politics, news, culture, sports and technology. According to data from CoinMarketCap cited on April 15, 2026, the platform has facilitated over $1 billion in cumulative trading volume since its launch.

The token has attracted attention from prominent figures in the crypto space, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, for its novel use of crypto in information markets. A notable real-world application was the accurate prediction of the 2024 U.S. election, with a single market resolving more than $500 million in bets, as reported by The Block at the time.

WEEX cautioned traders that liquidity may vary across market sessions, which could result in wider spreads and higher volatility. The exchange also warned that corporate actions such as dividends or stock splits may cause sharp price moves and that it may take measures like early settlement when necessary. Under certain conditions, trading halts in the underlying asset could affect futures trading. The product is not available in all jurisdictions due to regulatory restrictions.

The listing adds to WEEX’s growing suite of perpetual contracts and gives traders exposure to POLY’s price movements without holding the spot asset.
