Webull Launches Model Context Protocol for AI Trading in Plain Language

Webull has introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets users execute trades and manage accounts using plain-language AI commands, removing the need for coding skills.

Online investment platform Webull (NASDAQ: BULL) has launched its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, a system that allows investors to interact with Webull’s OpenAPI using natural-language AI commands without any programming knowledge. The company announced the official rollout on Thursday, noting that the server has been live since April and is already in use by active traders on the platform.

The MCP server connects AI agents directly to Webull’s trading infrastructure, enabling clients to query real-time market data, view account balances and positions, place, modify, and cancel orders, and retrieve order history and details — all through plain-language instructions.

“AI is fundamentally changing how investors can engage with markets, and MCP reflects Webull’s commitment to being at the forefront of that change,” said Anthony Denier, Group President and U.S. CEO of Webull. “By lowering barriers to advanced trading tools, we are building what we see as a foundational capability for the next generation of self-directed investors.”

Previously, the advanced trading tools accessed via the Webull OpenAPI were available only to developers and quantitatively oriented users. The MCP server extends those capabilities to the broader investor base. The service is currently available to all clients in the United States, with plans to roll it out in additional markets in the near future.
