USDT0 and USDC.e deposits and withdrawals now available on Tempo!

Kraken now supports USDT0 and USDC.e on the Tempo network, becoming the first U.S. centralized exchange to offer the payment-focused Layer 1 blockchain.

Kraken has enabled deposits and withdrawals for USDT0 and USDC.e on the Tempo network, making it the first U.S. centralized exchange to support the payment-focused Layer 1 blockchain. The move gives fintechs, neobanks, payment companies, and stablecoin issuers building on Tempo access to Kraken's full exchange stack.

The new funding rails are live immediately, with native chain support for both stablecoins. Clients moving assets on Tempo benefit from sub-second settlement and can pay network fees directly in USD stablecoins, eliminating the need for a separate gas token.

About Tempo

Tempo is a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain designed for payments, incubated by Paradigm and Stripe and developed with input from fintechs, banks, and commerce platforms. The network offers settlement in roughly 0.5 seconds with no chain re-organizations, dedicated payment lanes that keep fees low even during peak activity, and stablecoin-native gas.

Kraken noted that trading via its mobile app and Instant Buy will become available once liquidity conditions are met, meaning when enough buyers and sellers have entered the market for orders to be efficiently matched. Geographic restrictions may apply.

Kraken also reiterated its policy of not revealing future asset listings in advance, directing clients to its Listings Roadmap and official social media channels for announcements. The exchange cautioned that while the term "stablecoin" is commonly used, there is no guarantee that an asset will maintain a stable value relative to its reference asset in secondary market trading, nor that reserves, if any, will be sufficient to cover all redemptions.
