USAT is Now on Bitso: Tether's GENIUS Act Stablecoin

Tether’s new dollar-backed stablecoin USAT, compliant with the U.S. GENIUS Act, is now available for trading on crypto exchange Bitso across multiple fiat pairs.
Tether's newly launched stablecoin USAT (USA₮) has been listed on the Latin American crypto exchange Bitso, giving users access to a digital dollar designed specifically to comply with the recently enacted GENIUS Act.
USAT is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, the only federally chartered crypto bank in the United States under the oversight of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Its reserves are held and managed by Cantor Fitzgerald as the designated reserve custodian. The token operates on Ethereum and is expected to expand to other networks.
The stablecoin was built from the outset to meet the requirements of the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act, which was signed into law on July 18, 2025, creating the first federal regulatory framework for payment stablecoins in the U.S. Unlike Tether's global USDT token, USAT is purpose-built for the U.S. regulatory environment, with monthly public reserve disclosures attested by independent firms such as Deloitte.
Bitso users can now buy USAT by converting local currencies—including Mexican pesos (MXN), Argentine pesos (ARS), Brazilian reals (BRL), Colombian pesos (COP), or U.S. dollars (USD)—directly in the exchange's Buy/Sell interface.
The listing comes as stablecoin regulation reshapes the digital asset industry. USAT enters the market with federally supervised issuance, transparent reserves, and Tether’s global distribution infrastructure, positioning it as a regulated digital dollar option for U.S. institutions, fintechs, and payment platforms.
