US Stocks Rally: Dow, Nasdaq, S&P 500 End Higher
Wall Street closed firmly in the green, with the Nasdaq leading gains and both the S&P 500 and Dow Jones also advancing.
Major US equity indices posted solid gains on Wednesday according to unofficial closing figures. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite led the advance, climbing 359.54 points, or 1.37%, to finish at 26,707.89.
The broader S&P 500 added 51.69 points, or 0.67%, to settle at 7,761.65. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 136.20 points, or 0.25%, closing at 54,021.30.
The rally was broad-based, with all three benchmarks moving higher. The session marked a positive day for equities, though the Dow’s gain was more modest relative to the tech-focused Nasdaq.
