Europe and the rest of Asia-Pacific follow at 13% and 11%, respectively. Japan, the world's third-largest stock market, represents just 6%, while the Middle East and Africa account for 5%. Canada and Latin America make up 3% and 1%.
The data underscores how dominant the US equity market has become relative to the rest of the world.
