Ukrainian Drone Units Outperform US Armored Brigade in German Exercise

Ukrainian drone units outperformed a U.S. armored brigade in a major exercise in Germany, highlighting weaknesses in how American forces are adapting to modern drone warfare, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Ukrainian operators quickly detected U.S. vehicles and simulated their destruction using explosive and FPV drones. The simulated kills were so effective that U.S. units had to repeatedly "respawn" during the exercise.

The exercise underscored the growing role of low-cost drone tactics on the modern battlefield and raised questions about the readiness of conventional armored formations against such threats.
