Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Refineries and Air Base
Ukraine’s military and security services reported strikes on an oil refinery, air base, and multiple refineries deep inside Russia, disrupting energy infrastructure.
Ukraine’s military announced successful strikes on multiple targets inside Russia. In the Saratov region, an oil refinery and an air base were hit. An oil depot was struck in the Kaluga region.
Separately, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) targeted infrastructure at three oil refineries in the Bashkortostan region, located over 1,200 km from the Ukrainian border. The attacks are part of a broadening campaign against Russian energy assets.
The strikes could further tighten global oil supply, as Russia is a major exporter. Markets are watching for potential disruptions to refinery output.
