Turkey Hopes Egypt Will Soon Join Mecca Alliance, Fidan Says

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Egypt is still working through details of possible membership in the Mecca Alliance and described Egypt as Türkiye’s natural partner.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan signaled that Egypt could become an official member of the Mecca Alliance after ongoing evaluations are completed.

Fidan said Egypt is currently examining certain details of the membership process. He added that Egypt is Türkiye’s natural partner and expressed hope that it will soon become an official partner as well.
