Trump Slams Chevron CEO, Demands Lower Retail Oil Prices
Former President Trump criticized Chevron CEO Mike Wirth for not crediting his administration with the oil industry’s success and called for immediate cuts in consumer fuel prices.
In a post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump accused Chevron Chairman and CEO Mike Wirth of omitting the role of the Trump administration in the company’s strong performance during a recent interview. Trump stated that without his administration’s 'genius, foresight, strength, and stability,' the oil industry and the country itself 'would be DEAD.'
He cited Chevron’s return to Venezuela as an example, claiming the company was once thrown out but is now 'back, far bigger and stronger than ever before, expecting to make a fortune.' Trump extended the assertion to other oil firms as well.
The post concluded with a direct demand: 'get your consumer (retail!) Oil Prices DOWN, NOW!' It was addressed to Mike Wirth and signed as 'President DJT.'
