Trump hails court win on $800 de minimis trade loophole

Donald Trump said there was a "big win" today at the U.S. Court of International Trade over the de minimis exemption, which he called one of the most despicable loopholes in American trade policy.

He said that for years foreign shippers could send packages worth up to $800 into the U.S. duty free, and that the rule became a loophole for tariff cheats as well as a pipeline exploited by fentanyl traffickers and counterfeiters.
