Tradeview Extends One Surveillance System Across US Stocks…

Tradeview Markets has widened its use of eflow's trade surveillance platform to cover US-listed equities and options through its Cayman Islands entity, extending a relationship that began with its European arm in 2021.

Tradeview Markets has expanded its use of eflow's trade surveillance technology to cover US-listed equities and options through its Cayman Islands entity, Tradeview Ltd. The group's European entity has relied on the same platform since 2021, and the extension means alerts generated by US stocks and listed options now flow into a monitoring environment the compliance team already knows.

The company frames the decision as an architectural one rather than a simple vendor choice. Equities and options cannot be supervised as separate products: activity in a derivative can be driven by a move in the underlying share, while share orders can influence the prices used to value or settle options. A single underlying can carry hundreds of active strikes and expiries across multiple exchanges, producing a heavy stream of quotes, cancellations and trades. Tradeview expects eflow to help identify patterns such as spoofing, layering and wash trading, as well as behaviour that spans a stock and its derivatives.

One workflow, several regulators

Tradeview operates through entities connected with the Cayman Islands, Malta, Labuan, the United Arab Emirates, Mauritius and Peru. That structure pulls in two directions: the group wants consistent controls, case management and management information, while each legal entity remains accountable for the rules, products and clients inside its own perimeter. A shared platform can standardise investigation steps, permissions and evidence retention while keeping jurisdiction-specific parameters intact.

The reliability of that consolidated view depends on data lineage. Tradeview must be able to demonstrate that orders, modifications, cancellations, executions and account identifiers reached eflow completely and in the correct sequence, since a polished dashboard cannot compensate for missing venue records. False positives also matter more in options, where a hedge, an exercise-related transaction or a multi-leg strategy can resemble manipulation when each leg is assessed in isolation.

Mike Lombardo, Head of Global Equities at Tradeview Ltd, said the group needed a more consistent and efficient surveillance workflow as the business scales, and cited eflow's existing support for the European entity as the reason to extend the platform rather than introduce a separate system for the US product set. Ben Parker, chief executive of eflow, said the deployment gives Tradeview's compliance team a clearer view as additional asset classes are added. For eflow, the commercial gain lies in a client relationship that can grow across regions and products.

Surveillance now has to keep pace with execution, and Tradeview has previously broadened its offering through integrations such as CQG market data. Reusing an existing platform may lower the cost of future product additions, but that advantage is conditional on eflow's scenarios tracking new venues and trading methods.
