TradeStation Expands into Europe with MiFID-Licensed Entity

TradeStation Group has launched TradeStation Europe B.V., a MiFID-licensed brokerage in Amsterdam serving retail and institutional clients across 30 EEA countries.
TradeStation Group has expanded into Europe with the launch of TradeStation Europe B.V., a fully licensed MiFID investment firm regulated by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). The Amsterdam-headquartered unit is now available across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area, giving European clients access to the same U.S. trading infrastructure that TradeStation Securities has provided for decades.
The new entity targets both retail and institutional investors, offering access to U.S. equities, options, futures, and futures options. TradeStation Europe will also provide real-time market data, charting, analytics, multilingual local support, and streamlined account funding and withdrawal processes tailored to European clients.
“Traders around the world have long had to chain together disparate services just to reach U.S. markets — and that complexity is a barrier we set out to eliminate,” said John Bartleman, President and CEO of TradeStation Group. “As markets grow increasingly global, investors expect seamless access to opportunities, no matter where they are.”
Peter Comstock, President of TradeStation Europe, said the launch expands the firm’s footprint and establishes a long-term presence in a region with growing demand for sophisticated trading tools. “We’re combining more than four decades of TradeStation’s infrastructure with local expertise, support, and regulatory oversight to deliver a seamless experience for both active traders and institutional clients across the region,” he said.
CME Group’s EMEA head, Serge Marston, welcomed the launch, noting that it will broaden local access to futures and options trading at a time when traders are increasingly looking to manage risk and diversify portfolios.
Broader platform push
The European expansion follows recent TradeStation platform initiatives, including TITAN X, a next-generation trading platform with customizable workspaces, multi-asset capabilities, and flexible API integrations. The company has also introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection, allowing traders to link AI assistants to their accounts for conversational access to market data and trading workflows.
TradeStation Europe B.V. is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and operates with execution, clearing, and custody arrangements through TradeStation Securities, Inc., a U.S. broker-dealer and futures commission merchant. TradeStation Group was founded in 1982 and is the parent company of TradeStation Securities, TradeStation Europe, and TradeStation Technologies.
