Toobit Adds Trailing Stop to Futures Trading

Toobit has launched a trailing stop feature for its futures platform, allowing traders to automate exits with callback rate and activation price parameters. The exchange cited Q1 2026 derivatives volume of $18.63 trillion.

Cryptocurrency exchange Toobit has introduced a trailing stop order type on its futures trading platform, the company announced on July 16. The feature is designed to automate exit strategies for futures traders by tracking market moves and triggering orders when price retraces by a preset amount.

Traders can customize two main parameters: the callback rate, which sets the percentage of price retracement required to trigger the order, and the activation price, an optional threshold that enables the trailing function only after a specific price level is reached. This removes the need for constant manual monitoring of open positions.

Toobit provided an example using a long BTC/USDT position opened at 70,000 USDT. With a 1% callback rate, the system tracks the highest market price in real time. If the price rises to 75,000 USDT and then retreats by 1% to 74,250 USDT, the trailing stop fires an order to protect the position. The exit threshold therefore follows favorable price action instead of remaining static.

The exchange said dynamic risk management is especially important in fast-moving derivatives markets. It pointed to data showing first-quarter 2026 derivatives trading volume reached $18.63 trillion, and noted that over 70% of retail traders suffer net financial losses, often due to an inability to close positions during volatile conditions. Toobit says trailing stops help mitigate this risk by keeping exit levels aligned with market momentum.

Toobit operates as a derivatives exchange offering zero-fee spot trading, AI trading tools and high leverage across crypto and TradFi markets. The trailing stop feature is now live on Toobit Futures.
