The5ers' LATAM Push: Saul Lokier Moves to an Internal Mexico-Based Role
The5ers CEO Saul Lokier has transitioned to General Manager for LATAM and is relocating to Mexico, while the prop firm has yet to name a successor.
Prop trading firm The5ers is reshuffling its leadership. Saul Lokier, who joined the company as CEO at the start of 2023, has moved into the role of General Manager for Latin America and will be based in Mexico. The firm has not yet named a replacement for the CEO position.
"Now, I couldn't be more excited to dive into one of the most vibrant, high-momentum regions in the world and lead our next wave of growth for the company," Lokier wrote on LinkedIn. He had also held responsibilities beyond the CEO role during his time at The5ers.
The management change comes as The5ers, one of the longer-established prop firms in the industry, looks to build on its reputation in a market where many competitors have exited over the past few years. Traffic data from Similarweb shows the firm's biggest audience remains India, which accounts for more than 21% of visits to its homepage. Vietnam and the United States are the second- and third-largest markets, while Brazil follows with over 7% of total traffic.
The LATAM push also coincides with broader industry movement into the region. Several major CFD brokers, including Exness, Plus500 and ATFX, have expanded into Latin America through local offices, and some have obtained licences there.
It remains unclear who will take over as CEO at the firm's Israeli headquarters. The5ers founder Gil Ben-Hur remains closely involved in the prop operations. Meanwhile, The5ers' founders have also entered the brokerage space with Trade Set Go, a CFD broker that initially held a Cyprus licence and recently added a Seychelles licence.
