Taurex UK Returns to Profit as Turnover Nearly Triples to £5.6 Million

London-based Taurex Limited posted a £148,561 profit for 2025, reversing a £1.71 million loss, as turnover climbed to £5.62 million from £1.95 million.

Taurex Limited, the London-based online trading firm formerly known as Zenfinex Limited, returned to profit in its 2025 financial year, according to accounts covering the twelve months ended 31 December 2025. Profit for the year reached £148,561, reversing a loss of £1.71 million booked in 2024.

The swing was driven mainly by a sharp rise in revenue. Turnover climbed to £5.62 million from £1.95 million a year earlier — a gain of almost £3.7 million that left the top line nearly three times its 2024 level. Cost of sales grew far more slowly, from £619,405 to £959,809, lifting gross profit to £4.66 million from £1.33 million, an increase of more than £3.3 million.

Higher costs offset by gross profit gain

Administrative expenses also rose, climbing by roughly £1.52 million to £4.56 million from £3.04 million. Even so, the larger gross profit was enough to move the company into the black at the operating level, with an operating profit of £100,557 compared with an operating loss of £1.71 million in the previous year — an improvement of about £1.8 million.

Interest receivable and similar income contributed more than before, rising to £15,050 from £8,418. That left Taurex with a pre-tax profit of £115,607, against a pre-tax loss of £1.71 million a year earlier. A tax credit of £32,954 further boosted the result; no tax charge or credit was recorded in 2024. After that credit, the profit for the financial year stood at £148,561, roughly £1.85 million better than the prior year.

The results follow a period of rapid expansion in the broker's revenue base, having more than doubled turnover to £1.95 million in 2024 while remaining loss-making. In May, Taurex appointed Matthew Wright as Global CEO, bringing him back to the role four years after he stepped down. Wright had served as a non-executive director at the CFD broker during the preceding year, and the company said its board approached him to take over the position, with his return taking effect immediately.
