Survey: 69% of Russians See No Use for Crypto, Only 6% Have Experience

A new survey by Rambler&Co finds that 69% of Russians cannot imagine a personal use case for cryptocurrencies, while 54% know almost nothing about how digital assets work.

The poll, conducted among 2,000 internet users, reveals widespread disinterest and lack of knowledge about crypto in Russia. Only 6% of respondents said they are well-informed and have hands-on experience with digital assets.

When asked what would be needed for them to engage with cryptocurrencies, participants pointed to honest information without promises of quick gains, clear regulation, and licensed platforms. These demands highlight a trust gap and a preference for state-sanctioned infrastructure.

The findings suggest that despite global crypto growth, retail adoption in Russia faces significant headwinds from skepticism and regulatory uncertainty. The data may temper near-term expectations for a rapid expansion of the local user base.
