Stash Agrees to Acquire Stockpile Kids' Accounts
Stash will transition Stockpile’s children’s accounts to its platform, adding family-focused investing tools to its user base of over one million.
Stash, the digital investing and wealth management platform, has reached an agreement to transition Stockpile’s kids’ accounts onto its own platform. The move brings together two companies that focus on making investing accessible and educational, especially for families.
The deal, announced March 19, 2026, will see Stockpile’s custodial accounts for children moved to Stash. Stockpile, founded in 2010, pioneered family-friendly investing by allowing parents and kids to invest together. After the transition, those users will gain access to Stash’s broader suite of tools, including automated portfolios, personalized guidance, and educational resources.

Stash currently reports more than one million subscribers and over $5 billion in assets under its management. Its offerings include the Smart Portfolio, an AI-powered Money Coach, and the Stock-Back® Debit Card that rewards everyday purchases with stock. The company also provides managed accounts, retirement accounts, and custodial accounts for children.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
