South Korea’s communications standards commission approved a block on Polymarket, calling the platform an illegal gambling venue.

On August 18, South Korea’s Communications Standards Commission approved a measure to block access to Polymarket, describing the platform as an illegal gambling environment.

The regulator’s objections cover markets related to politics, payments, sports, elections and weather.
