Solana came close to a transaction finalization stall after infrastructure provider Teraswitch suffered an outage. The incident took 28.83% of staked SOL offline, leaving the network just below the 33.34% threshold at which finalization could stop.
The disruption lasted 33 minutes and affected about 90 validators. During that window, validators missed an estimated 333 SOL in rewards.
No finalization halt occurred and the network did not cross the critical threshold.
