SBI Securities Starts Intermediary Service With Bank of Kumamoto

SBI Securities will begin offering financial intermediary services through Kumamoto Bank starting July 6, 2026, enabling customers to open securities accounts via the bank's website.

SBI Securities has announced a partnership with Kumamoto Bank to launch financial intermediary services, effective July 6, 2026. The collaboration will allow Kumamoto Bank customers to open SBI Securities accounts directly through the bank's website.

Kumamoto Bank, a regional bank based in Kumamoto Prefecture and part of the Fukuoka Financial Group, will integrate SBI Securities' offerings into its digital platform. Clients can use the joint service to choose from a range of financial products and investment plans.

A key feature is the "Kumamoto Bank Real-time Deposit" service, which lets customers transfer funds from their Kumamoto Bank savings accounts to their SBI Securities trading accounts instantly and free of charge. Users can register a linked account and initiate transfers entirely within the SBI Securities website. Existing SBI Securities clients may also switch to the Kumamoto Bank intermediary course to access the service.

The partnership aims to provide Kumamoto Bank's clientele with a more convenient securities trading environment while supporting individual asset building through SBI Securities' diverse product lineup.

SBI Securities, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is a major online brokerage in Japan. This move expands its reach into regional banking networks, leveraging Kumamoto Bank's local presence and customer trust.
