SBI Securities Opens Subscription for SpaceX U.S. IPO Shares

SBI Securities is accepting applications for SpaceX’s IPO at $135 per share before its Nasdaq listing on June 12, 2026. The subscription runs from June 5 to June 11.

Japanese online broker SBI Securities announced on June 5, 2026, that it has begun accepting purchase applications for the initial public offering of class A common stock in Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX). This marks the first time the broker has handled a U.S. IPO subscription.

The subscription period runs from June 5 to June 11, 2026, at 10:59 a.m. Japan time. The tentative price is set at $135 per share, though it may change before the final price is determined. The shares are scheduled to list on the Nasdaq on June 12, 2026, under the ticker "SPCX."

SBI Securities is offering the IPO shares with no purchase commission. Customers can also buy the shares using the growth investment framework of Japan's NISA tax-exempt program. Additionally, clients who maintain at least ¥100,000 in an SBI Hyōper Yokin (Hyper Deposit) account with SBI Shinsei Bank will receive a higher probability of winning the lottery allocation.

Founded in 2002, SpaceX operates three business segments: Space (reusable rocket design, manufacturing, and launches), Connectivity (global broadband via the Starlink satellite network), and AI (including the Grok large language model, the X platform, and AI computing infrastructure). The company describes itself as the only firm building future integrated hardware and software infrastructure spanning space, connectivity, and artificial intelligence.

The registration statement for the shares has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. SBI Securities noted that no sale or purchase offer can be accepted before the statement becomes effective. In Japan, a securities registration statement has also been filed with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau and is not yet effective.
