Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan Sign Joint Defence Pact in Mecca

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan have inked a mutual defence treaty in Mecca, vowing to treat an attack on any member as an assault on all. The agreement comes as regional instability spurs deeper military coordination among major Muslim nations.

The defence pact was signed in Mecca and establishes a collective security framework under which an attack on any of the three nations will be treated as an attack on all. It represents a significant step in military cooperation among Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan.

The agreement comes as the broader Middle East faces heightened instability, with recent missile strikes and energy infrastructure disruptions raising security concerns. The three Muslim-majority countries are seeking to strengthen their collective defence posture in response.
