Russia to Form Self-Regulatory Body for Digital Currency Exchanges

On September 1, Moscow will host the founding congress of a new self-regulatory organization (SRO) for operators of digital currency exchanges in Russia. The announcement was made by Sergey Khitrov, CEO of the consulting firm Listing.Help.
Khitrov clarified that he is not a founder of the organization but is supporting and publicizing its launch. Details about the SRO’s structure and answers to market participants’ questions will be presented at the congress.
Andrey Tugarin, founder of legal firm GMT Legal, noted that the association could serve as a platform for collecting market feedback and communicating with the Bank of Russia.
